TWO people died of heart attacks on beaches in Guardamar del Segura yesterday (August 13).
Both incidents occurred just before the Red Cross lifeguards began their shifts.
The sea was rough and red flags were hoisted to prohibit swimming.
The first death was just before 10.00 between Las Roquetas and Moncayo beaches.
A 57 year old man from Dolores collapsed as he was coming out of the water.
Witnesses told Red Cross volunteers other swimmers had carried the man to shore.
