A first night for fans was organised at Somerset House in London

Pedro Almodóvar was joined by Penelope Cruz on the patio of Somerset House in London on Thursday for the British premiere of his latest film, Los Abrazos Rotos, Broken Embraces.

Tickets for the show sold out in two hours, despite the fact that the fans of the Spanish director had to watch the film sitting on blankets. After a slow start to his career, Almodóvar is now very much in fashion with both public and critics in the U.K., almost to the extent that he is admired in France.
