Valencia – the amazing city
Author: myblog | Oct 4, 2009
As you know, we try to give you ideas for interesting places
to visit while you are around the Costa Blanca on your next
vacation. Featuring the city of Valencia is a bit different,
as Valencia lies just north of the Costa Blanca area, about
180 km of Alicante.
So,its a one and a half hours drive from our home here in Alicante.
But please allow me to tell you as direct as my English permits:
Valencia is a must and should be marked red on your next Spain trip.
Whether it is the beautiful city on its own, which is a very nice place,
or the area of the Arts and Sciences, where the architecture is
one of the most impressive things I have ever seen in my life, make time for it.
Especially if you travel with kids, you should visit the marine
park or better call it marine zoo – the Oceanographic. With thousands
of different species of fish, birds and huge underwater aquariums,
it’s just an amazing place to visit. (Our daughter especially loved the whale and
the Dolphin show.)
To get a brief overview on what makes Valencia so much fun to visit,
please find images and a video about the Oceanographic Marine Park here:
Short note:
This video about the Valencia Oceanographic Marine Park is one of
the largest we have done so far. So when you are seeing the video page,
allow up to 60 seconds until it starts. This is if you are on a
high speed internet connection (DSL etc.)
Listed in North to South direction along the Costa Blanca:
